Get the perfect fit for your K9’s dog collar by using these instructions. I need neck size — not collar size!
I’ve made thousands of dog collars and know how to knot up your order for a comfortable fit. But I need you to take a moment to get the right measurement info to me.
Why do we need your dog’s neck size? Based on the size you provide, I add the necessary length to make sure the dog collar will fit properly.
- First, you’ll need a ruler, a pen or pencil and a strip of paper about a half inch wide.
- Wrap the strip of paper lightly around your K9’s neck.
- Mark the piece of paper right were it meets the starting point.
- Then measure that length on a ruler. Now you know what size to order!
All of my products are made to order by me right here in the U.S.A. with mil-spec MIL-C-5040H type III requirement cord and have a minimum breaking strength of 550 pounds (550 cord).
Not all paracord is created equal — especially the sub-par cord from overseas. My 550 parachute cord comes from the same U.S. factory that is a government contractor to supply the military, so quality is assured. We use the actual paracord our service men and women rely on every day!
There is approximately 1″ of paracord for every inch of knotting. This does vary slightly depending on the knot. If you were to disassemble your item you could use the cord and the strands within for all kinds of outdoor and, yes, survival applications.
Keep in mind each of your items will be handmade to order based on your specific order details. LEO and Military orders are given first priority and always go to the front of the line. Generally, most orders are knotted up and ship within 48-72 hours.
Due to the amount of knotting required on larger orders and dog leashes, these orders will take more time — so plan on an additional 5-7 days. If you have a specific in-house date don’t hesitate to reach out and let us know!
We keep it simple and even though the USPS raised their rates, again, on 9/3/17 — we still offer you discounted rates for packages within the United States!
- Discounted Flat Rate USPS First Class of $2.95 for all orders under $25.00
- Free USPS First Class on orders over $25.00
- Discounted Priority Shipping of $5.95 (USPS Post Office Rate is $7.15!) available for orders under $50.00
- Free USPS Priority Shipping on orders over $50.00
You will receive an e-mail from us noting when your item(s) are on the way. All shipments have tracking numbers for Delivery Confirmation.
PLEASE be sure to add email@example.com to your address book, approved senders or white-list so you get our e-mail confirmations!
We are in zip code 38668 in northern Mississippi. First Class USPS will vary to your location. Let’s be real — Uncle Sam’s postal service is not the most consistent or reliable. So plan on 3-5 days to get your package; possibly longer if you are on either coast or there are weather issues in your neck of the woods.
We highly recommend if you want to get your items faster that you upgrade to Priority using our special customer deal for only $5.95 which takes 2-3 days from our location to yours once in Uncle Sam’s hands (and even that isn’t guaranteed by USPS!).
