Here’s a different item for you. The monkey fist knot was originally used by sailors. They would tie this knot at the end of a heaving line thrown from ship to shore or ship to ship. It allowed them to use a smaller rope to throw that was connected to the main heavy dock lines that were then pulled. Sometimes the knots were tied around a heavy object like a rock which allowed for longer throws but the guy on the receiving end, if hit, usually wasn’t too happy and cut the knot off.
Our Monkey Fist necklace is roughly 3/4 inch in diameter, about the size of a nickle, and is finished with a noose knot. It’s tied with 2mm leather cord in either black, brown or natural color. These are really nice looking necklaces that will set you apart from the crowd.

Our Monkey Fist Keychain or lanyard is about 1 1/4 inch in diameter and is center loaded with a 3/4″ chrome steel ball. The lanyard loop is roughly 6 1/2 to 7 inches long and is finished with a noose knot. Fully extended by sliding the lanyard loop it’s about 12 inches long. Some people use these as self defense keychains and getting hit by one, especially in the melon, will give quite the headache. You can order these in any single color we have!
